Swinging is an artwork belonging to Erika Litteral’s collection.

The inspiration behind this artwork is the childlike joy I still experience to this day. I was like most children. I enjoyed playing at the playground. Swinging on the swing set was my favorite. As an adult, I have gotten on the swings, and the feeling of joy and freedom is still present. The thresholds in the doorways represent no matter how old we get; the innocent pleasure is still there. There are a limited amount of things that you can do as an adult and feel like a happy child. If you have children ride on a swing with them, you will not regret it.
