Lost, is an artwork belonging to Erika Litteral’s collection.

This artwork shows a sad look at how the head on our shoulders expresses how we are feeling. The broken statue works on two levels that show disappointment. The fractured figure is disappointing as well as the somber expression on its face. The young girl is dressed nicely, and her hair is in pretty pigtails, yet her blank face shows things are not as cheerful as the rest of her appearance. The two faces connected are the authentic emotional self trying to come out, but the prideful self is trying to hide the despair. It is a losing battle. We all need to experience and express all of our emotions for our health and well-being. We all struggle with not wanting to be accountable to others and letting our weaknesses show. We are all judged on many of these gs and will be until we die. Well, even beyond death. We will not be around to be lifted or brought down by others’ opinions.
