Le valli e le colline toscane. Le valli e le colline toscane, siamo nella zona tra Pisa e Firenze, nel periodo più caldo dell’anno, perdono i loro colori accesi per lasciare spazio ai colori spenti. La vegetazione, priva di piogge primaverili, si spegne, si secca, il terreno, ormai libero da coltivazioni, lascia spazio alla polvere delle zolle ribaltate. La terra è la vera protagonista dell’estate toscana, è lei che determina la variegata composizione del territorio con le sue punte ocra o bruno intenso. L’unico colore acceso che può contrastare le striature polverose è il cielo illuminato dal sole cocente dell’estate. Ecco come l’artista ha saputo centrare gli elementi che caratterizzano questo periodo dell’anno. La sua tecnica nasconde la modernità della base su cui poggia.
